When I’m playing with the candles, suddenly something pop up from my mind, I was wondering how those valentine celebrate their Mid-Autumn? Do they celebrate together or with their family? What they do on that day? Do they play candle also? Or they hugging each other and looking at the beautiful moon?

Then, I start to think, how will I celebrate my Mid-Autumn if you are here? Will us be sharing the same piece of moon cake? Will us lie on the floor or the roof and looking at the moon together? Or looking at the candle?

The moon brighten the night, I’m here alone celebrating. I think of you the everytime I lighten a candle. And there’s number of candles I’ve burnt. I tried to protect the candle from dying, I just don’t want it to die off. I felt that, the candle is like us, if the fire blow off, then everything’s over. I tried hard to prolong their life, but no matter what I do, the fire died off. I’m back to the dark, and I’m afraid of darkness. I’m unprotected in the dark.

No matter how long a candle is, the fire will die off when it’s burnt until the end.

Then, I realize we’re NOT candle. We’re renewable fuel, we won’t be used up and there’s NO ending for us. We’ll keep going.

We stay under the same sky, enjoying the same night, but not at the same place. We’re apart.

The night is lonely without the star. It’s an unperfect night without the twinkle star. The sky is odd without the diamond star.

I wish I could celebrate the Mid-Autumn with you every years…Not only the mid-autumn, but all of the festivals…
